Club Rankings Now Available in the DUPR App

As many of you know, I’ve been manually compiling our club’s top 100 players and also our top 20 singles and doubles players list for most of this year. It’s not a dynamic list because I only have time to compile the information and generate the list once or twice a month. However, those who are familiar with DUPR know that the ratings as constantly updating. Your rating updates each time a match is logged into the system; therefore our static top 100 list isn’t always up to date.

DUPR Club Rankings

The good news is DUPR recently added club rankings in their most recent app update. Each member of Wichita Pickleball DUPR club can now see how they rank among the members of our club at any given moment. Since this is within the app, the information is updated dynamically and always up to date instead of the static list that I put together.

Some of the benefits of this new feature include:

  • Identify the leading player in Wichita Pickleball (currently, Jay Devilliers). Not that it’s hard to tell because I can tell you this without looking at the rankings. Also, no one is likely to bump Jay off the #1 spot so this isn’t likely to change any time soon.
  • Explore the top-ranked players within Wichita Pickleball and other clubs nationwide. Besides knowing who the top-ranked players are within our own club, you can now explore other clubs and see their top-ranked players. It would be really fun to use this information to do some club vs. club battles. May the best club reign supreme!
  • Track the progression of your rankings within our club and among its members. For players who are always looking to improve, you can now track your progress among your peers as you rise up the ranks. For instance, a friend may be higher than you in then rankings but then, as you play in more tournaments and events, you might out-rank them a couple of months later.
  • Analyze the development of fellow club members. When you are looking for potential tournament partners or just helping other players grow and improve their game, this additional feature now allows you analyze whether a player is progressing or falling behind or if they are improving at the desired pace. If your want to reach a certain skill level or rank within a period of time, having access to the rankings and performance charts will help you to determine whether or not you’re on track to achieve your goals.

I am very excited about this newest feature because it means less manual work for me and more ways to celebrate YOU and all your achievements. I’d love to hear from you. Let me know what you all think about the latest app update in the comments.
