Tournament Format
All teams will consist of two males and two females.
Matches will consist of a women’s doubles game, a men’s doubles game, and a mixed doubles game. Mixed doubles game will only be played in case of a tie.
The team that wins two out of the three games wins the match. If the same team wins both the women’s doubles and the men’s doubles games then the mixed doubles game does not need to be played.
All games will be played to 15 win by 1. Teams will switch sides at 8.
The teams may use any method they wish to determine who serves first or who gets to pick the side prior to starting each game.
For the mixed doubles game, the team that chooses to serve first must release their mixed doubles lineup to the opposing team prior to the start of the mixed doubles game. Members of the team can tag in/out during timeouts. Substitutions are allowed as long as the resulting combination is still one male player and one female player.
Each team will be allowed a maximum of two timeouts per game.
There will be five rounds of round robin pool play from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Single elimination bracket begins at 12:30 PM.
Each team will be guaranteed six matches.
Medals will be awarded to each member of the first place team.

This unique one-day tournament is geared towards teams of four players – 2 men and women – but there’s a twist! Players sign up individually and are then drafted by a team captain and placed on a team. Double elimination bracket play consists of a men’s, a women’s and a mixed doubles match.
Wanting to be a captain and control your own fate? Be one of the first eight players who register and pay the $5 captains fee.
Tournament will start at noon on Saturday, May 21 and be held indoors.

Clinic will consist of 1.5 hours of instruction followed by 30 minutes of open play with Jay and Pat.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Wichita Tennis Community Foundation to help support the professional Men’s & Women’s Wichita Tennis Open at WSU Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex.
