GAMES: A guaranteed 11 games with the potential to play 12. Who you play is based on a sliding scale of current rating and then adjusted by variables.
RATING: Win or Lose, the DUPR algorithm takes all games into consideration based on points scored, your partner’s level, your opponent’s level, your current level and it adjusts everyone’s rating accordingly (sometimes by a very small 100th of a point, no adjustment or sometimes a big adjustment). Losing a game can still increase your rating while winning a game is no guarantee of an increase in rating.
CONTEST/AWARDS: Successfully executed Ernies and ATPs that win a rally will earn you $$$$$$ during the evening. Also, there will be payouts to the top 3 in most points earned by females and males.
***REQUIREMENTS TO PLAY***
1. Must pre-register by end of day Monday, November 21st.
2. Must have a DUPR account. *if you’ve played in a tournament there is a good chance you have a DUPR account. Go to https://mydupr.com/players to search for yourself. If you can’t find yourself then create a new account. If you find yourself, *CLAIM* your account.
3. Must join the Oklahoma Pickleball Club via your DUPR account.
4. Must agree to play all games set up for the evening. (Arrive early and stay thru the entire event.)
5. Must agree to pay the front desk upon arrival the afternoon of November 26th.
6. If you HAVE to cancel and cannot play, you MUST let us know as soon as possible and no later than 48hours prior. The success of DUPR events count on committed players showing up. 1st Round of play is pre-determined PRIOR to the evening’s start and a no-show can throw off play for 3 other players and delays play for all. No shows without prior notification will affect future ability to join a DUPR event.
