Minor League Pickleball is an innovative team competition where teams of 4 players (2 women and 2 men) compete against each other in an engaging format, with twists on traditional match-ups and scoring for games, matches, and tiebreakers. Teams compete against each other in Matches using the MLPlay™ format:
MLPlay™ is an ingenious gameplay format that brings men and women together on a level playing court. In the MLPlay™ format team matches are composed of four 21-point games, one women’s doubles, a men’s doubles, and the final two games consisting of mixed doubles. If both teams are tied at 2-2 after the 4 games are played, they’ll go to a Dreambreaker™! In a Dreambreaker™ one person from each team plays singles against the other team’s player, switching players every four rallies until someone gets to 21 and wins by two points. - 21February 21, 2026

Schedule – formatting will typically have Doubles (8am+) on Saturday, Mixed Doubles (8am+) on Sunday, Singles will take place on one of the two days in the afternoon.
Format – there is a 6 game guarantee in place; single game round-robin matches played to 11, win by 2, for doubles followed by brackets; singles matches will include rally scoring to 21, win by 2.
Divisions – to simplify registration, all registrations will be sorted by skill level during the registration process before being sorted by age when and where possible.

Players sign up solo — no partner needed. Each player will play with various other partners in round robin pool play. Results are processed and then players get paired up to play in a single elimination bracket where teams play for first, second, and third place medals. All results get sent to DUPR at the end of the event.
