Picklemania Oklahoma at Life Time
2653 W Memorial Rd Oklahoma 73134This is a three day Doubles event held the weekend of August 4-6, 2023.
The Oklahoma City Life Time has 8 beautiful indoor tennis courts (16 pickleball) with an outdoor surface, perfect lighting and no wind, rain or sun to deal with. We will be using the Dura 40 or the Gearbox Outdoor Ball. Additional amenities including cafe, spa, steam room, sauna, and pools provide for the ultimate tournament experience. Space is limited so sign up now.
Event Details
- Men’s, Women’s & Mixed 2.5-3.0, 3.5-4.0, 4.5 & 5.0 – 50+ 2.5-3.0, 3.5-4.0, & 4.5+, 65+ 2.5-3.0, 3.5-4.0, and 4.5+
- 50/50 Division (one player over 50 and one player under 50) Junior and 50/50 can be any gender. If I have enough teams in the 50/50 I will separate them by gender.
- Round-Robin Format: 2 games to 11 points, win by 1 (bonus points awarded for games and matches won)
- All matches will be self-officiated.
- Weekend schedule:
- Friday after 3 PM – 50/50 Divisions
- Saturday – Men’s & Women’s Doubles
- Sunday – Mixed Doubles
- Round Robin: You will play matches back to back and each division will be complete in 4-5 hours.
All divisions will be round robin format with either one group of players or multiple pools. You will play everyone in your group or pool. The combined skill divisions will have an upper and lower playoff bracket (min. 8 teams) depending on how you finish in your pool or round robin event. Playoff brackets will be 2 out of 3 matches time permitting.
- Online entry is the only method of entry and payment
- Division entry fees are $50 for 1st event, an additional $15 for a 2nd & 3rd event. You are only allowed to play in one division each day.
Lunch will be served on Saturday and Sunday for players that are playing on that day.Please Note: All players must sign up and pay online before the event. No registrations will be accepted at the facility. Snacks and water will be provided for Players only. Players are encouraged to invite their family and friends to come out and watch all day Saturday and Sunday for FREE, no visitor fee. Launching in mid-2023, team owners will select the city they represent, as well as building their team through a live player draft that will include the division’s biggest stars. The League will feature current #1 ranked players, Beth Bellamy and Rick Witsken, along with national champions, Jennifer Dawson and Dayne Gingrich. Additional player commitments include the remaining top five women, Nathalie Bagby, Anna Shirley, and Eva Welsher. Pickleball icon and multiple Major title winner Scott Moore has also committed to the League, along with top men’s players Scott Crandall and Jose Derisi.
