AOP 3v3 Gender Team Tournament
19310 E 50th Terrace, Independence, MO 64055When….Saturday and Sunday (if needed) June 15-16, 2024.Where…Epic Center KC in Independence, MO. Will start at 8AM on Saturday and Sunday.Three players of same gender form a team. Will be placed in 6 different levels based on the teams total DUPR rating (see below)…. will need to have a minimum of 4 teams to have that level play the event. Will also accept 6 and 8 teams. No odd number of teams accepted. If happens, last team in will not play and get a credit for future 3V3 tourney, or a refund. If possible, by low volumes of other levels, will consider taking 12 teams in a level (not a guarantee).Level 1….6.000 to 7.704 (2.50)Level 2….7.705 to 9.204 (3.00)Level 3….9.205 to 10.704 (3.50)Level 4….10.705 to 12 204 (4.00)Level 5….12.205 to 13.709 (4.50)Level 6….13.710 and ABOVE (4.57+)In Level 2 (3.0)….no player with a 3.600 DUPR and above can play in this pool.In Level 3 (3.5)….no player with a 4.100 DUPR and above can play in this pool.MUST HAVE A DUPR RATING TO PLAY IN THIS EVENT….NO EXCEPTIONS.Your team’s DUPR score, to place you in a Level, will be calculated when one of the team’s players registers and pays for their team (will need to know each teammates DUPR rating when registering). The cost for this event is $150 per team. One week before the tournament, team DUPR totals will be calculated again. If your team’s total is above the parameters of the level you are in, either 1) will have do a replacement to meet the level’s parameters, or, if possible, move up a level.Format….Teams will play three round robin matches of three games per match. Each player will play two games of rally scoring to 21, and have to win by 2, winning.game point on their serve.Each player will have a bye each match also. Standings will be determined by the following:1) Match wins2) Head to head (if 2 teams tied)3) Total games won4) Differential5) Points allowedPlayer 1 of each team will have the team’s highest DUPR rating. Player 2, the second highest, and Player 3, the lowest DUPR rating. Each match of round robin and bracket will be set up in the following order:Game 1……Players 2 and 3 of each team will play each otherGame 2……Players 1 and 2 of each team will play each otherGame 3…..Players 1 and 3 of each team will play each otherAll games will be played because one of the tiebreakers is Total Games WonCoin toss, or equivalent, will only decide these aspects1.
