    iPN Team Pickleball

    iPN Team Pickleball 3-Player MLP Style Team Event

    We are pleased to bring our iPN 3 team Pickleball to Genesis Health Clubs – Clayview,
    June 8 & 9, 2024. The Men’s divisions will play Saturday June 8 and the Women will
    play Sunday June 9. The Winning team in each Division will receive $300.

    This event is also part of the DUPR Teams events. Stay tuned for additional events including regional and National Championships.

    Play will begin at 8:00am both days with division start times TBA.

     

    DUPR Divisions:
    3 divisions of Men’s and Women’s based on the teams aggregate DUPR.

    • DUPR 12.25 – 13.75 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 13.75)
    • DUPR 10.75 – 12.24 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 12.24)
    • DUPR 9.25 – 10.74 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 10.74)

    **Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 3.60 to play in DUPR 9.25-10.74

    A pickleball battle in the Heartland, featuring the best of the Midwest!

    Hosted at Elite Tennis & Wellness, in Overland Park, Kansas.

    Events will be offered for Mens and Womens Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Age 50+.

    Round Robin games will be played either to 15 or 11 points, depending on the size of the bracket, with smaller brackets playing longer games. Larger brackets may be split into pools followed by a single elimination playoff round for the top teams in each pool.

    When….Saturday and Sunday (if needed) June 15-16, 2024.
    Where…Epic Center KC in Independence, MO. Will start at 8AM on Saturday and Sunday.
    Three players of same gender form a team. Will be placed in 6 different levels based on the teams total DUPR rating (see below)…. will need to have a minimum of 4 teams to have that level play the event. Will also accept 6 and 8 teams. No odd number of teams accepted. If happens, last team in will not play and get a credit for future 3V3 tourney, or a refund. If possible, by low volumes of other levels, will consider taking 12 teams in a level (not a guarantee).
    Level 1….6.000 to 7.704 (2.50)
    Level 2….7.705 to 9.204 (3.00)
    Level 3….9.205 to 10.704 (3.50)
    Level 4….10.705 to 12 204 (4.00)
    Level 5….12.205 to 13.709 (4.50)
    Level 6….13.710 and ABOVE (4.57+)
    In Level 2 (3.0)….no player with a 3.600 DUPR and above can play in this pool.
    In Level 3 (3.5)….no player with a 4.100 DUPR and above can play in this pool.
    MUST HAVE A DUPR RATING TO PLAY IN THIS EVENT….NO EXCEPTIONS.
    Your team’s DUPR score, to place you in a Level, will be calculated when one of the team’s players registers and pays for their team (will need to know each teammates DUPR rating when registering). The cost for this event is $150 per team. One week before the tournament, team DUPR totals will be calculated again. If your team’s total is above the parameters of the level you are in, either 1) will have do a replacement to meet the level’s parameters, or, if possible, move up a level.
    Format….Teams will play three round robin matches of three games per match. Each player will play two games of rally scoring to 21, and have to win by 2, winning.game point on their serve.
    Each player will have a bye each match also. Standings will be determined by the following:
    1) Match wins
    2) Head to head (if 2 teams tied)
    3) Total games won
    4) Differential
    5) Points allowed
    Player 1 of each team will have the team’s highest DUPR rating. Player 2, the second highest, and Player 3, the lowest DUPR rating. Each match of round robin and bracket will be set up in the following order:
    Game 1……Players 2 and 3 of each team will play each other
    Game 2……Players 1 and 2 of each team will play each other
    Game 3…..Players 1 and 3 of each team will play each other
    All games will be played because one of the tiebreakers is Total Games Won
    Coin toss, or equivalent, will only decide these aspects
    1. Side (switch at 11)
    2. serve or receive
    If there are 4 or 8 teams in a level, after round robin play, all teams will move into a seeded single elimination bracket. If 6 teams in a level, then top 2 from each of the two pools will advance to bracket play.
    If an injury happens during round robin play, a substitute can take the place of the injured player for a $25 substitution fee and has to be able to start playing within 15 minutes of the injured player not being able to continue.
    NO SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED IN BRACKET PLAY. Team will have to WITHDRAW.

In addition to a 36-team competitive and recreational pickleball tournament, Love Pickle. Stop Cancer. will feature a pro-exhibition match, live entertainment and dinner, and a program that highlights the local impact that St. Jude has had on the community.

    All proceeds from this event benefit the lifesaving mission of St. Jude: Finding cures. Saving children. Because St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital shares every breakthrough it makes, every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to help thousands more children, including kids in Wichita.
