DUPR Reset is Here!

Great news, friends! You asked and now it’s here. The DUPR reset period is almost upon us. Now is the time for you to strategize and figure out which events to join from March 16 to May 17, 2026. All tournaments, leagues, and club events that report scores to DUPR will count during this reset period.

If you feel that your DUPR does not accurately reflect your skill level, the DUPR reset is a unique opportunity to improve your rating. Participation is completely optional and risk-free.

  • Register to participate in DUPR reset. It’s best to register by March 16, 2026 so that all your qualifying matches between March 16 and May 17 are counted. However, you can register any time during the reset period. Keep in mind, if you wait until May 1 to register, then only your qualified matches between May 1 to May 17 will count toward your reset. To maximize the benefit of the reset period, it’s best to register by March 16.
  • Play in multiple DUPR events. Play in as many DUPR tournaments, leagues, and club events like round robins as you can from March 16 – May 17, 2026. Self-report matches do not count toward the reset so it’s important to look for tournaments, leagues, and other events that report results to DUPR. It’s important to play as much as you can during the reset period to provide sufficient data for DUPR to complete your assessment. The assessment requires a minimum 8 matches with 2 different partners (for doubles), or 8 matches against 2 different opponents (for singles).
  • Your new rating will be the higher of your DUPR reset period rating or your original rating. All matches except self-reported matches will count. Your rating only resets if your DUPR reset rating is greater than your original rating. If your reset rating is lower than your original rating, the higher rating is retained.
  • At the end of the DUPR reset period, all DUPR reset participants will receive a personalized summary, which includes 1) your original rating, 2) your DUPR reset rating, 3) number of matches counted, and 4) your final rating going forward.
