In September 2022, Sedgwick County Park converted 2 of the tennis courts into 6 permanent pickleball courts. The courts are not currently lighted and I am not sure that they will be because the park’s official hours are 6 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week. Still, this is a great, free option for outdoor play during the day on good weather days.

We’ve had at least two cookouts already since the courts were unveiled last Fall and the community has gotten great use out of it. Even in the Winter time, when there are warmer days, players will schedule open play sessions and meet up. Check Playtime Scheduler and add your name to the list to join the fun.
