Now that the USA Pickleball regional tournaments are no longer a thing and there is no Diamond Amateur Championship path to USAP Nationals, these “golden ticket” tournaments are the only path to earn your spot. On the one hand, this is great because it is far less confusing. Instead of having two different paths that feed to Nationals, now there is only a single path. However, the down side is that there are far fewer “golden ticket” tournaments in the Midwest as you can see from the above map. If you missed the APP Dallas Open in October 2024, the next two options within driving distance of Wichita are:

• UTR Sports Overland Park Tournament at Elite Tennis and Wellness (May 14-18, 2024)

• USA Pickleball Colorado Golden Ticket Tournament (location and dates are TBD)
